Does anyone know if there is a catalog on line for the January, 2010 Canadiana Collection Auction that Heritage is holding? The September 1-14 Canadian Coin New has an article that make it sound like they have read the catalog. I am hoping there are some best that exist dollars in this.

Hello Steve... I am sure Heritage will send you a catalog ( PDF format) and add you to their mailing list.... AFTER verification of your different "off Shore" bank account balances.... just joking... but, one must have deeeeeeeep , very deeeeeep pockets to bid and buy at that auction. it is "out of this world". i suggest that money spent there should be pocket change for the person buying. try this link: www.ha.com/ccn17534 and follow the instructions HHB

Hi hhbkiddo,
I am already on Heritage's mailing list and am sure to receive this catalog, but probably not until near Christmas. As you note, this is a high end auction. I don't have offshore accounts, but with a few months notice....maybe....I can get 1 item from this auction, which is why I am trying to get the catalog early. I already know what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Steve

Hey Helmut, forget the Canadiana Auction, I'd just be happy to know the name of the collector that amassed such an awesome collection of Canada's finest! These are coins that you only see when you "Die and go to Heaven" Glenn

Hi hhbkiddo,
No, not offended at all (in fact sort of complimented). I just want to get a copy of the auction lists ASAP. There are a couple of coins I am looking for that just might be there.

Hello Steve... best is to contact heritage directly..... I tried to talk my banker in to giving me a loan for one of the coins.... He said: only if you pledge your house as collateral..... I want the 1936 10 cent DOT................ and I am sure Glenzy is going to buy it... he has the desire to buy it..... right ? HHB

Are you going to bid on the 1936 dot 1 cent?

No. I was hoping that the Pittman example of the 1953 PGCS PL67 dollar would show up in this auction. I was the under bidder on the coin a few years ago when it sold at Heritage for about $7K. I was willing to go a bit higher now, but 2 things happened since I posted the question. First, after looking for several years, I was able to acquire a really nice PCGS PL67 1953 dollar last week and second, I believe the Pittman dollar now resides in an NGC holder with no Pittman designation. I believe that it is part of lot 1286 in the upcoming Goldberg Ancient and Foreign Coin auction.
Oh well, perhaps there will be some other exceptional PL dollars. I don't know. They put up on line 1/3 of the catalog 3 weeks ago and then just stopped.
