I found a cent that may be the Lincoln "Minor" doubled ear, unfortunately the reverse is filled with verdigris .

If this is a Doubled ear, I'm not sure how to get the verdigris cleaned (Or if the end product would be worth it), I'm thinking the doubled ear may just be post mint damage, so I wanted to be sure.

Hi,

I'm sorry to say that you can't successfully clean the "rot". But, it doesn't matter as this is not a doubled die of any kind. It is a form of Machine Doubling on the ear.

Thanks,
Bill
