I bought a few hundred worth of ones today and had pretty good luck. I found a 63b Kansas City, a bill with 5 consecutive 2s, and some other goodies.

I also found these consecutive bills. They appear to be in pretty good shape. I would like to know if anyone has any idea what the marks above the word federal on the front and words one dollar on the back? Also would you keep them?

Second this bill is in pretty bad shape but the last nine in both serial numbers appears to be lower than the rest of the numbers. Would you keep it?

Last here is my first web note!! It is even in pretty good shape

Congrats on your first web note. The ones with the mark above the word Federal I can't see what your talking about, sorry. The one with the 9 being lower is not collectible and the web,try this site; http://www.webpressnotes.com/

I don't have access to the pictures today, but tomorrow I will see if I can zoom in on the spots that I'm talking about. However there appears to be four parallel lines in those places like there was ink on the rollers that move the bills around or something. Not sure what the exact process used is but perhaps someone can enlighten me or point me in the right direction.

I usually only keep bills with a number out of line if they are in close to uncirculated shape, and those just because I think they are cool looking. That one I was on the fence about cause of the condition. Probably end up getting rid of it.

Thanks to the link for the web notes info site. I checked it out and it was really concise and easy to use. I've bookmarked it for easy reference in the future.

John you are an asset to the site and thanks for the help and info you have given me.

I would say that grease got on a feeding wheel for some bill sorter.

The 9 is out of place because the last roller is minutely desynched from the press. This error only is really worth something when the number is cut-off. It's also common for the last roller to desynch as it rolls the most.
