G'day, I do not claim to have made an exhaustive study of 1959 florins. When I was first made aware of the egg, I had the impression that the egg was a variety. In some context or other, I described it as a variety, and someone else corrected me, saying that all 1959 florins have the egg. Since then, a few years ago, I've looked closely at every 1959 florin that has passed my way, including pics on the 'net. To date, they've all had eggs. Although I must say that it is difficult to be sure with some pics. If any one can show me an egg-less variety, I'll be grateful to be informed. Peter in Darwin
