A die crack is a crack in the die that forms the coin, not a split in the coin itself. That's a planchet split/flaw.

I did state that it is a split in the post but I put die split which I relise was a mistake.
allways loved Cracks and splits so I thought this would be a good topic for just extreme examples of both
Should have been clearer in my topic name also.
