I need to buy an electronic coin weigher, digital 1-50grams, to confirm weight of coin to know if it's genuine or not.

Since it would be seldom used, a low budget cost would be prefered.

I don't have any idea what brand is popular among our members or where to even start looking.

Would appreciate knowing the brand and comments of the weigher you are now using and possibly some info on it's website.

Many thanks

I bought a Digiweigh scale only 9.99 free shipping. Also goes to 600 grams instead of 50. Good luck

I have two scales, both by Digiweigh. One is 100g, with 0.01g increments. The other is 600g and I don't recall the increments. I have been happy with them for 2+ years. I bought mine on eBay--I don't know if they sell through other channels. The total after shipping was around $25. I've seen people attempting to sell the exact same models at coin shows for $40-50.

Right, and anything made for the jewelery business should be adequate for coins.
There are numerous good scales coming out of Asia from .1 - .01 accuracy. You're closer to the source.

Just an update and thanks for the lead DVCollector! I looked around locally because the shipment from abroad was the same as weigher cost. came up with this, at US$15, 0.1 display resolution, 0-500gm weigh range, switchable from gram to Ounce readout and with "tare" button, 5seconds stabilization time uses 2xAAA batteries

Sorry for the glare, it was right after lunch when I took the pic
