Found and bought this from a common foreign coins jar selling at 5pesos any coin, equivalent to 10 US cents, in an current coin exhibit in Manila.
It is listed in coin values at US3.oo VG8, which it is more than. the other years are $.o5
There is no explanation why this year is more expensive... Why is it valued more than the other years? Thanks!

According to numismedia, the 1928S seems to be valued the same as most of the other S mints of that time. I would suspect an error in the listing for one of these sources.

Thanks Spiel, Nod and BadTHad- It looks like a large "S" per the link of Spiel but comparing it to a 1952S it looks small. My scanner is down under repair so I will get back with a pic by next week. Thanks
