This is what my wife picked up yesterday from the coin shop :

5 Pesos 1947

I find the design quite nice.

I got lucky and picked up about 30 Mexican silver coins back when silver was around $4/ounce. Mexican coins are probably the biggest part of my collection.

Another nice coin Eugene.

Your wife must have a good eye. Does She collect as well or just pick up the bargains for you.

Barry,

My wife collects as well a little bit.She likes coins with ships on them, but ocassionaly she picks up designs that appeal to her.In this case,i like that coin too.

scoutjim,

If she was to put the dimes together it would've been fine...but no,she's after all other commemorative coins ( canadians or not) with ships...and mostly silver or silver hologram coins
In any case, personally, from al the Canadian coins the dime is the one I don't like at all.I find it too small and whitout any appeal.
