This 1891 Calcutta Mint British Indian One Quarter Anna has a full red obverse, but a toned reverse. Not sure if it rested on something, may have been an end of roll coin or ?.

I really like British India coins.

Nothing rare or valuable - a nicely toned BU 1944 George VI shilling struck in .500 silver. The kind of coin a GI would have had in his pocket before D-Day.

@Darth Morgan That is really a beautiful nickel. I just happen to be on my PC today, where normally I am on my phone, and that color looks amazing on the screen.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, guys. This is a spectacular proof. I have always been impressed by the flowing liquid metal look of proof Jefferson nickels. I'm seriously considering starting this set. This is the first Jefferson I have ever purchased. Not to worry, jbuck. It wasn't too expensive, although I overpaid considering that the PCGS price guide lists it at $7. I paid triple that, but I don't care. I love it.

Well, the PCGS price guide is not perfect.

NumisMedia has it at $13.75 so not as bad as you thought.
