Would like to buy world coin book, but turns out there are many of them, To be sure I'm inquiring via this post.
Which book would be best reference as a coin collector?

a. 2010 Catalog World Coins 1901-2000 37th edition or the
b. World Coin 2004 Catalog 1901 to Present by Chester Krause et.al.

Thanks!

If current pricing is not relevant to you, I'd go for B, because it contains more coins. I have a 2006 edition Krause, which was the last year the 20th and 21st centuries were still in one volume.

Be warned, there are "cut down" books sold by Krause, like "World Coins & Currency" an "Collecting World Coins" that only contain circulating coins; again, if that's what you're interested in and NCLT and bullion coins bore you to tears, then by all means buy the cut-down versions of the catalogue. But be aware when doing so that you're more likely to encounter coins that aren't in your catalogue.

Thanks Sap and Zohar!, that is a surprise, a. 2010...was my first choice as it was newer... I'll go for your experience and buy b. 2004 by Krause.

Thanks again!
