Looked through a roll of Phil. District of Columbia quarters. Found this quarter and many others with differences like this but I'm not sure what they are. Thanks

I'm not sure what made those marks. I've got some also, they're incuse. Maybe I'll find out also.

According to traildies.com they are die dents http://www.traildies.com/id95.html you should also check for trail dies on the DC quarters, I have found a lot of them with trails on IGWT and LIBERTY, hope this helps.

Mike,I noticed that when I took the picture. Its not dd or md either I just moved when I took the pic.
Yes, a die dent would make sense. I also found a few Puerto Rico's with the same type. Thanks for the info!
