I know this is off topic here, but I'm trying to get some info on confederate bills, whats worth what, what's collectible whats not.

If you've got a bundle of confederate notes and you don't know anything about the series, my suggestion for first port of call is this site, which lists all the commonly encountered serial numbers for fake/facsimilie notes. That site is maintained by a dealer; his price list should give you some indication of sale prices.

There is an excellent book by Pierre Fricke and published by Spink titled: "Collecting Confederate Paper Money, Field Edition 2008", This covers all areas on Confederate note collecting. I believe I paid about $60, well worth the cost.
