What would be currently the most available ancient coin? and thus the least expensive and therefore the most unlikely to be counterfited?

I don't have a single ancient coin and would like to start with one coin, described above.

Any info is much appreciated. Thank you

The most plentiful and least expensive are late Roman bronze coins of the emperor Constantine and his family. PM sent.

Nic,
What are you looking for?
Bronze, silver or gold?
Prices range from a few dollars to a 'fist full of dollars'

The late Roman bronzes are still sometimes counterfeited, but there are far more genuine examples out there than there are fakes.

The ones most likely to be faked are coins in the name of famous people (especially people named in the Bible) and famous places (especially places mentioned in the Bible).

Hi wwhitman! am just about even greener than a green neophyte on ancients, as of now, just looking for a first ancient coin to scrutinize and study as a collected coin, and then taking the thread from there

Hello sap! coins with names from the bible... that is very interesting, thank you!
