I mean I collect everything but when ever I see a Newfoundland coin I by it exspecially the Large cents Ofcourse I like new brunswick ,nova scotia.. but down in north carolina you do not find them every day..when I was in pennsylvania I would see them more often across lake erie canada is only 30 miles Report this Post to the Staff

Aidan Work Banned New Zealand 306 Posts	Posted 05/31/2006 10:11 pm I do have a few Newfoundland coins that one very seldom sees such as the 1947C 1c.,& the 1917C 25c.I once had a mounted & worn 1872 $2 gold,but lost it when my flat was broken into nearly 5 years ago.I have not been able to get another one (or of any date) to replace it.The ones I had been offered were just far too dear for me at the time. Aidan Work Banned New Zealand 306 Posts	Posted 06/17/2006 05:49 am Dsking,the first Newfoundland 5c. coin was struck in 1865.They were last struck in 1947.There are some key dates,but the rarest one is the 1946C,which is worth several hundred dollars (US$/C$). Aidan. Report this Post to the Staff
