Let me know what you all think this should grade at. I'll post a picture of the grade later.

Coloring was a bit odd on this one.

They graded that? If it actually looked like that in hand, I'd call it environmental damage.

Does DGS do net grading, or do they "bodybag" damaged coins?

As far as details go, I'd give them Australian VF, knocked down to Fine for the edge knocks. VF20 is my guess.

Hi Sap.. they do net grading. The coin really didn't look that bad in-hand.

I had also asked for their 'conservation' service on this one (it was very dark when I sent in it, had no idea why) but I don't know if they did anything to it yet. You request & pay for it up front for any coin that you think may need it, then when they're done I guess they refund you the difference if they didn't do it. These are their pictures - I'll know better how much it's changed, and if they 'conserved' it, when I get it back.

If you valuate the coin over $100 on the submission, they do it for free.

Strange color for a bronze coin, with the rim dings, odd color, and some scratches on the coin VF-20 tops.

I was wondering if the photo was cropped, since that can do funny things to the edge. Depending on the lighting used, cameras sometimes pick up minute edge knocks that are much harder to see in-hand. By the hair/ear/brow detail, I was thinking VF too.

Not a bad coin despite odd color. I'll grade it VF-35. Yeah, this company grades about 10 points over what the coin is realistically. VF-20 I think is a bit harsh for this one since too much detail shows but will agree the color is not the best (or retoned as the holder identifies).

What I mean was the color was purposely manipulated for whatever reason. I don't think it's bad either but it is darker than most.
