Does anyone have any information on this coin.
I have 2 of them. One I have identified as the 22mm one that has .2354 gold and some copper,

But I am trying to find info on the the smaller one, almost the size of a dime. about 17-18mm guestimate.
Any information would be helpful.

On one side it has the picture of King George V and it says:
GEORGIVS V DEI GRA:BRITT:OMN: REX FIDEF:IND:IMP:
In Latin that means "George the Fifth, by the Grace of God, King of All Britain [or "All Britons"], Defender of the Faith, and Emperor of India."

This is a sample picture of what they look like http://www.treasurerealm.com/coinpapers ... S3997.html
The small one that I have is in excellent condition.

G'day, the larger one sounds like it is a Sovereign, and in 1911, it was worth one British pound.
The smaller one sounds like a half-sovereign.
Depending on condition, mintmarks, etc, they may attract a premium above the intrinsic value of the gold they contain.

I deleted your duplicate threads, bejon - be careful how many times you hit the "submit" button.

The other thing you should know about sovereigns (and halves) is that they were struck kin several mints throughout the British empire, and which mint may be important in determining value.

Thanks for the info.
The sovereign is not in that great of a condition
but the 1/2 sovereign is in almost an uncirculated condition. I'll take some pics and post it.

Neither of them have a letter on it, so I'm thinking London Mint, as I have read that a letter means something.

thanks for Deleting the duplicate. Will be careful, getting used to this forum.

I also have a 1903 Edward the VII Sovereign coin. It looks exactly like the Georgvs Sovereign.
