i have been reluctant to search for the doubled die reverses, listed listed mostly in to 2000 - to present. I thought they would be too difficult to see, and probably as infrequent to find as the older wheat's, etc. I separated a couple hundred 2003, an began searching them. to my surprise, I found 5 in the first couple hundred coins. 4 of them I identified and the 5th I plan to sent into coppercoins for attribution. additionally (after several hundred coins 2003 - 2005) I have found probably 12 DD columns (reverse). several I can see that are too minor to list, and two that I believe are significant enough to send in for listing. so my question is - are these just so much more common to find that then older DD and RMP, or have I simply had a extraordinary run of luck. I am finding them to be much more readily findable and somewhat more fun to search for.(i am still reluctant to search as much for the wavy steps. I most cases they seem so obscure I have trouble seeing them even the the photos).

They are much more common than doubled dies on older cents. Even on the newer Lincolns (2009), Doubled Dies are numerous on both obverses and reverses. There are too many doubled column die varieties to even keep track of.
