I do not have any of those books(although the QDB book is on my buy list) but I can speak for the Red Book Series of books in general. They are great books for someone who wants some specialized info but does not want to get into the high end specialty books, i.e. a true silver dollar freak would buy the Van Allen and Mallis encyclopedia(both Morgan and Peace dollars are covered in this 500+ page $80 tome) but the more casual collector looking for a solid book would purchase the Red Book of Morgan dollars or the Red Book of Peace dollars depending on their interest in either series. I currently own the Buffalo and Jefferson nickel, Washington quarter, and Type Coin Red Books and love them. I will also add more of them to my library as I get the chance.

biokemist6,
Thanks...I do have the Van Allen book...but from 1977 edition. It is only 316 pages.
I guess it is time for an update.

If you are a Peace dollar fan, get that book! I learned tons, and it's a great history!
