I didn't have much luck with this in the varietie
and error forum,so before I chuck this coin aside
I thought I'd see what you think. The outer
edge comes further out on both sides of the coin,
all the way around.the words "In God W e Trust"
seem to run along it,almost as if made this way.
the best way I can describe it would be like a
wagon wheel with Lincoln sitting where the spokes
be.Like it hasn't been edged.I'm having problems
still with posting pics,so There isn't one yet.
Is this common?sorry for the possible confusion,
I'm baffled myself.thanks.sn31.

maybe its a spooner coin, where someone sits there and takes a spoon and taps and taps until it gets the flat effect on the rim like you are describing. people usually spoon a coin to make a ring out of it, they will spoon it to the desired width then drill a hole in it and wear it as a ring, since its a penny maybe someone started on a kids ring or something and maybe the kid grew up before he got it finished..lol, I dont know really but it seems to take a long time to do unless you are in prison or jail and have nothing but time on your hands

Check your email !! Lets see if we can get a pic posted of the coin.

Like I said in the error forum I'm having trouble picturing the coin in my mind.
