This cutie is smaller than a dime at 16 mm:

I'm not even sure if I have the first image right-side up; the second one seems to be read in a circle. I don't find four numeric symbols together to provide a date, although I do see some here and there, as for example "39" at 8:00 right next to the hole on the second image. Help again, please.

Wow, thanks. Is there a date on this coin?

Yes, there are three numbers on this coin, two of which are dates. You've already mentioned one of them, "39" - that's the regal year of the Nizam (prince) in power at the time.

Rotate the top picture 90 degrees clockwise to make it "right way up". At the top is now another number, "92". No-one knows why, by all coins of Hyderabad have this number on it. The actual AH date are the two sets of two numbers at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock just inside the hole, such that they form an equilateral triangle with the "number 92" at the top. There's "13" on the left, and "68" on the right: AH 1368 = AD 1949, the last year of existence of Hyderabad as an independent state.

Ah - I see the numbers now (I rotated the top coin on Photobucket to prevent "cricked" necks, lol).

Interesting how some coins were made to be more of works of art than items for business exchange. The Arabic script lends itself to being artistic on coins, though.

Also, I can't imagine a 60-year-old coin remaining in this relative pristine condition all those years only to end up in a CoinStar reject bag!
