Those are beautiful notes--I hope I'll run across any in similar condition here.

Just to follow up, if you decide to auction these notes, let us all know which auction house and when. I am sure many of us would follow the results since you have posted here.

And if you have some coins you would like to share with us, feel free to post a few pics. You might want to start a new thread for those.

Latman, thank you soooo much, I knew these particular notes would be worth something, and to all my reading up on them its not far off what you say, but I couldnt believe it, I needed for somine to say it, but please note that all my notes have been in the most brilliant condition, how bad can a 100 year old note look, even a 50 year old note look when thyve been keopt ion plastic almost the whole time? I mean mine, I believe are in the most beutiful condition a note some could have, somthing to treasure and past down through generations.(my grandmother was really anal about not taking them out of the folder to look at). I honestly thankyou from my heart, and so SHE would aswell. My grandmother would be soooo happy for me and in what she has collected over the last 100 odd years. Mind you, these are only some of the notes, I do have approxematly 300 coins, some of which I researched on about 12 years ago and found out they were worth some cash but couldnt be bothered being at a young age to really LOOK for there worth. I will go through them now knowing what the notes could be worth in the hope to either pay my house off, keep for investment and also as I have a new born, even for her to maybe sell at a later stage in her life so she can live comfortably rather then what my grandparents and even parents did.
I have shed a tear or two over this post, meaning that my life has changed (im now 31, my grandmother passed away back around 1994, my mother has told me that she thinks that my whole collection could bring in a value of 100k, not really knowing what my grandmother had). Thankyou to the people that have either posted or even just looked at what I have in my collection. I will scan up in this post anything that I find worth some cash or even just for interest sakes.
This website has changed my life!
THANKYOU

If anyone has further comments or either approx valuations feel free to post. PLEASE!

Bigdamac, you are welcome. Believe it or not, I can honestly say that most of us here on this forum are as excited for you as you are for yourself. We here at CCF love to see these sort of things happen. We are not a community that tries to belittle you for not knowing what you have, and will only try and give you the best advice we can. It really warms my heart to know that you are a young Dad, just like myself, and that these notes could really mean a big difference to you and your family. I have a 1930 penny and a few other key coins put away for my kids ( a 4 year old and 19 month). Some of the keys came from my Grandfather, and they will be passed down to my kids.

If you can take pictures of the notes, instead of scanning them, we will be able to give you better ideas of grade. But even then, nothing beats an in hand appraisal. What State are you in? We can better advise you on which dealers to approach.
As I said earlier, get a copy of this months CAB magazine. Look for the article by Mick Vort-Ronald on page 46, it lists his phone number. He is the man to talk to about your notes. He is an expert and he will give you fantastic advice. He will also be able to tell you whatever you want to know about them.
