1983 One Cent Near/Far Beads? - Coin Community Forum

cdcoinman Valued Member Canada 372 Posts	Posted 11/07/2009 10:55 am Hi John, from the pictures,it is fairly hard to see the difference if any between the spacing from the rim.Having the 2 coins in hand,try to run something small between the rim and the beads.You should be able to see a difference. DVCollector Bedrock of the Community United States 10045 Posts	Posted 11/07/2009 1:46 pm Comparing the first 4 pics to the last 4 pics, I'd say the difference in bead-rim distance resembles the two types in Charlton. But that's just my eyes--because I mostly look at tiny details on coins. Report this Post to the Staff
livingdinasaur Pillar of the Community United States 1571 Posts	Posted 12/13/2009 7:01 pm If you have BOTH types in hand, take your camera, and put an image on the comoputer screen, or TV screen if it has TV out. Outline one, and then comparte the other image with the first one. It will be bigger, or smaller, depending on which came first, the egg, or the chicken, er, the smallbead, or the lartge beads.
