The description given by the mint for the reverse of the proof dollar states that the coin has the last 43 words of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

The Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set has the entire Gettysburg Address in "Lincolns own handwriting" on the inside cover.

In reading them both you will find that the Dollar coin has the words "Under God" on it.

Lincoln's handwriting does not say Under God.

What's up with that?

There are five different draft versions of the Gettysburg Address in Lincoln's own handwriting and they are not all exact copies of each and do have minor wording and punctuation differences. This link from the Library of Congress should give some better details.

One day frayed ..when you go to DC and visit the Memorial in person, you will have the opportunity to read the walls. On those walls ..it says, under god.

I've been to Gettysburg several times and everytime I read / hear that address, it sends chills down my spine.
