Englehard JM and credit Swiss are all recognized. Sunshine mint, northwest mint and tulvig are also fairly well known There thousands of designs for bars and rounds out there. So have fun in your searches...
I like the JOHNSON MATTHEY, NORTHWEST TERRITORIAL MINT, ENGELHARD, and PAN AMERICAN SILVER 1 troy ounce silver bar designs...so far. Simple, classic designs.
Awesome you should ask. I just posted a complete photo catalog of USVI Ingot Company bullion rounds and bars from 1980 through 1982.
All the silver processed there was originally large ingots (800 oz through 1400 oz) stamped Johnson Matthery or Engelhard. The large bars were cut into chunks, melted in a floor furnace, and poured either into silver shot or molded billets. Shot was weighed and melted in graphite trays, and billets were extruded in a huge industrial machine.
