I am making good progress on completing my Dansco short set of 1941 PDS to 1947 PDS. I have twelve of the twenty coins. I am buying only PCGS or NGC slabbed in MS-64. I have bought couple of MS63 s, but only if the coin itself has no distracting marks and good mint luster. I have returned two coins to the ebay sellers for a refund. I am saving the labels after I crack them out and placing them in the back cover of the album. I think this is a set with great eye appeal in BU. The Walking Liberty half dollar is one of the best US coin designs IMHO. It is also affordable, with only one of the dates, the 1941-S costing over $200. I will try and post a picture when I get it completed. This will be a nice addition to my circulated complete set of Walkers and hopefully satisfy my upgrade urges for the complete set.

Yes, I'd also like to see pictures. I agree that the walker is one of the most beautiful designs in U.S. coins.

Yes, we're all waiting. In terms of beauty of both reverse and obverse, as well as the nice size, I think they win the contest for most beautiful US coin.

I had a Japanese neighbor for a year. When he got ready to go back to Japan I gave him a reasonably decent walking liberty, maybe EF. (Uh, prewar if I recall.)
