Hi,

I just opened a 1964 Proof Set yesterday. These coins were amazing in comparison to every other Proof set I've opened from that time period. All will easily grade PR69. With a DCam nickel and DCam Cent.

Anyway the Lincoln Cent is literally perfect..but has a 1/8 inch crack on the obverse just to the right of the initials VDB on Lincolns lower shoulder. The crack runs from the rim upwards.

Will this downgrade the grade of this coin should I decide to submit it to PCGS for grading?

Thanks...

for a coin to be graded a "69" it has to be nearly perfect. I would be shocked if a crack like you describe dosen't dwongrade the coin. pictures as always would be nice.

I don't think a die crack will downgrade the coin unless you are looking for a 70.
