These are a lot easier to spot than you think. The first thing I look for is the curved bottom legs of the lettering. This could be on the right or left side, depending on which way it's doubled.

For-Chuckster.

At the opposite side on the top of the letters, there also appears to be curving. Upon closer inspection you will notice this is notching.

Extra thickness of the letters can also be seen. Easily seen on the top arm of the letter Y. This coin is a 2004, but the same features can be seen on Johns 2001. Not sure if this coin is doubled or tripled, appears to be 3 distinct notches on some of the lettering.

I'll start to look for any kind of notching, especially off of the T & Y.
