I was unsure how to grade this one, It has a small gouge on the obverse, in front of the eye. Any help grading this coin is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'd call it Fine in my collection.

I would say Fine. The rim does look a wee bit weak on the obverse beneath the date, but this is probably just due to strike.

Wouldn't be right, with my nic, not to toss my 2 cents in on this one!

I concur with those who would say Fine, going so far as to venture a Fine+, with nice lettering on the obverse. There's considerable flatness in the center on both sides and the rims are very worn, but there are great details remaining in the hair and its floral ornaments.

The keys to grading this type are the "Concor" above the forehead, the oak leaf behind the ear, the pearls and band on neck. As you get closer to AU, you'll see a lot more of all of these elements. In MS grades, the cheek is whole and unscuffed.

Regardless, you've got a very desirable coin here. It's a date I've not yet found for my own date set of this type, so if you ever decide you want to let it go let me know!
