A lady at work brought over a round that looks like it was a company gift for 15 years of service. It did look like a silver bullion coin with a proof like surface, but it had not details of purity and weight. Report this Post to the Staff

I would be surprised if they would include weight and purity as those would only be important to a collector, not the employee who they were recognizing. Report this Post to the Staff

One side has a tow truck carrying a space shuttle with "Jerr-Dan Stellar Service" The other side says "PROUD TO BE PART OF THE JERR-DAN TEAM THE LEADING MANUFACTURER OF CARRIERS AND WRECKERS 1996" Report this Post to the Staff
MINT_MARQ Pillar of the Community United States 1000 Posts	Posted 02/19/2010 9:14 pm OK, so I need some advice on this one. It makes the same sound as a silver round when dropped. It is the same size as a one ounce silver bullion coin, and it weighs 1.2 ounces on a postage scale. It looks to me to be silver, but I am nervous to sell it as so, without having definite proof. Should I just send it in to the refinery and get the 80% spot price if it is silver or is there a way to figure it out? Report this Post to the Staff
