IDK about cent brick searching...thats a lot of pennies to go through! How much is a box of nickels? maybe i'll try a box of each and see how it goes, got to try everything at least once...it may be fun lol.

I usually just get a roll or two at the bank, I'll see how this gets the tellers attention haha

coppercoins you make a very good point.I hope others here roll searching follow your advice.

Early on I was saving every Lincoln Cent with an unusual looking mm, doubling, etc. You taught me and many others here to recognize Machine Doubling, results of die wear etc. You are arguably the most valuable resource we have on lincoln cents. My hat is off to you.

Thank you for the kind words - I do my best to share what I can with the community at large.

Regarding roll searching - While I am sure that some people only search rolls for specific dates or mints to fill albums, and others are only looking for older coins to fill rolls they will save, I am certain that the vast majority of people who go to the bank to buy boxes of rolls to search are looking to profit fromt he time they spend doing this activity. Given that case, it is imperative that you learn die varieties and learn how to find them BEFORE going through your rolls. It makes no sense at all to spend that kind of time trying to profit from coins in circulation, then leave free money at the bank because you didn't know what to look for. Best advice - buy a book that will help. My book, the Cherrypicker's Guide, and Strike it Rich are all good books to get for this purpose...in fact, they are all pretty much necessary to accomplish the task with any level of accuracy.
