I have just started and finished my first bag of 5000 Lincoln cents. Normally I do rolls but I felt like I should try a bag. I clocked myself and I did it in 3 hours. Not bad for a first try. I was happy to find 16 wheats and some nice red BU 60's along with tons of other coins. I keep copper cents because they are basically 2 cents in melt, even though I can not melt them now.

How do you get bags of cents? The best I can do is a $25 box from one of the armored car services.

Yes I would like to know where you get bags from, that would definitely be better then buying multiple boxes, please let us in on this secret. Thanks

*IF* your bank has a Coin Counting Machine in the lobby:

Ask the local bank branch manager if you can buy the bags of coins from the coin counting machine when they are full.

They should agree to sell them to you because they are going to be charged to ship them out!

I just ask if they have any cents and or nickel bags full that I can purchase during my weekly trips to pick up boxes of halves.

I personally only buy cents & nickels ( less chance of someone using the machine as a "DUMP" (especially dumping Half dollars)
