I have a roll of nickels with the bicentennial logo and the date 1976 on the outside of the roll. It looks to be from the mint from the type of roll paper. The nickel facing out is a 1970 nickel. Is this an error?

Is it hand rolled or a shotgun roll? I got three rolls of halves once with the logo that you described but they hand rolled. Two of them were all AU bicentennials and one was mixed dates. Nothing special to me so they went back.

Not sure why the Bicentennial logo would be on a roll of nickels since there were no special Bicentennial nickels minted, only quarters, halves, and dollars

Agreed with biokemist... nickels didn't change during the bicentennial, we really need pictures.

BUT... if you mean that the wrapper is what has all the bicentennial markings... then that's still weird. Can you tell us if it is a mint roll or an outside company?
