Hi there!

While Canadian and Italian are not areas I know a great deal about, a cursory look at my Krause guides followed by a hasty judge of their condition lead to me to these conclusions:

#1: $3.50 book value in VF-20
#2: 90 cents book value in VF-20
#3: $1.50 in VF
#4: $1.50 in F; $3.50 in VF

It's not apparent to me that either of the Canadian coins would break into the XF realm, but then again, your pictures aren't very close up. The white stuff on #1 makes me worry about corrosion, although an acetone bath my work wonders. The two Italian coins show a lot of wear and bear the unfortunate burden of being from very large mintages. I've noticed that coins from large mintages (210 million in the case of #3) need to be of really choice condition to live up to the promise of the values Krause lists. The obverse detail in #3 is very nice, but I wonder what the discoloration is about.

Cheers,
SCS

N.B. The book values for #3 and #4 come from the 2004 edition of Krause, I don't have a more recent one. Regardless, I doubt they've moved much.

about the 2 italian coins, yes 5 Centesimi 1861 M is quite common and the evaluation for a VF is just few euros, also the 10 Centesimi 1893 (not able to understand the mint, it may be are for Rome or BI for Birmingham), if it is BI still few euro for a VF, if it is a are it is about 15 ueors for a VF.
