OK the dot after the Y indicates Perth Mint,,

Isthere a significance to a dot on both sides of the word Penny ? Like the coin that AKAK posted ?

Mine very obviously has only one, His very obviously has two .

Two dots, before and after, are on coins from the Bombay mint, which was used to strike Australian coppers during WWII. There should also be a small "I" below the portrait on the obverse of those coins.

Thank you Sap,, the Krause catalog makes sense now, with the different Pennies, 1942 P 1942 B with l and without l.

I was having problems because of AKAK's thread,, that was Mis Identified for Mint, His coin is a 1942-B with l
