Can someone help with the history of this note and assign a grade/value to this and is it worth being sent out for gradeing? There are no rips, tears,or pin holes, there are some strong folds as the pics show. Thank You in advance.

Your note looks to me to be in VG8 condition to me. I don't think it's worth getting graded, but if you have other ones that you want to get graded, I strongly suggest using CGA. Their prices are reasonable; they provide great customer service; and I feel their grades are more accurate than the other companies. CGA was the first currency grading company http://www.cganotes.com/

No, they do not grade currency, they have a hard enough time trying to do coins.

Oh I did not know that. That is quite interesting bio. I have heard that NCS is also affiliated with NGC. Is that correct?

I have wondered, what is the purpose of a company with such a name? Is it the same as a regular TPG, or do they clean coins under the guise of conserving them somehow?

NCS is in the conservation business. They used to also slab problem coins that were no-grades at NGC but now that NGC will slab problem coins, NCS only conserves. They do not clean coins in the tradition(damaging) damaging sense because NGC has always slabbed coins from them that were able to be properly conserved. If you have a coin that is stained, covered in PVC, or otherwise has some form of surface residue, chances are they can dramatically improve eye appeal. Of course, if you have a coin that is damaged or horribly corroded they will not be able to do anything with it.
