I hope this is going in the right place.
I've looked around the web and can't find info on this coin.
I'm probably looking in the wrong places.
Please tell me about this coin.

That is probably a campaign token for the Presidential election of 1880. Winfield Scott Hancock was a Union General in the Civil War and was the Democratic nominee for President in 1880, defeated by Rutherford B. Hayes with an incredibly small margin of less than 2000 votes. William Hayden English, a career politician from Indiana, was his Vice-Presidential running mate.

This is an American political token; W.S. Hancock lost the 1880 Presidential election.

This one on eBay has less gilding remaining than yours, and sold for $8.
