After 3 years, its become apparent that I don't have the time to develop a web site for this great domain name. It's time to let someone else have it. I put it up for auction on ebay. Besides, things have been a little tight around here with less and less work due to the holidays and bad weather.

Well, I thought about using the Godaddy auction but also thought that most of us are comfortably aquainted with ebay more. All my friends are long time collectors and attributors who are all on these forums (CCF, LCR, CONECA) so I geared the listing and price for them. hopefully, somebody who can do something good with the name will get it.

That actually is a fantastic domain name. Simply put - " Lincoln Cent Varieties." It doesn't get anymore common vanilla than that, which is exactly what you want. It's the kind of name tons of people would just punch in to see what comes up.

One small downside is it's a bit long, but other than that it's perfect. Are you sure ebay is the ideal forum to sell it?

I've never sold a domain name before so I don't know really the best place to sell it. I thought about the GoDaddy auctions but thought it would just get buried for months. I figured a Lincoln Cent collector is most apt to want and buy it. Even those who hate ebay will still check it out on a regular basis for deals. I put it under the Domian section on ebay and the US coin ERROR category. I guess it's working because I got an opening bid within a couple of hours and have lots of watchers. We'll just have to wait and see. I can't wait to see what someone does with it.

How much were you hoping to get for it? I'm getting kind of worried. One day left and it's only at $29. How many watchers do you have?
