Ive got here a Large One Cent Liberty Head dated 1817.
On the front its the Liberty Head with 13 stars surrounding her, within the tiara are the words LIBERTY.
Underneath the bust is the date of 1817.

On the rear you have the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounding a wreath which itself surrounds the words ONE CENT.

The coin is just slightly smaller than an Old British Penny and about the smae weight.
It is dark in colour possibly due to wear, tear and old age.

Unfortunately the coin is not in good gondition, but what about a possible grading and value if anything?
cheers

Just off your pictures I would guess a good-4. It might look better in hand.

I am going to move this to the classic coin grading section where I think you may get the answers you are looking for faster
