I didn't think they were going to be released until next month. Here's the pic from ebay.

First-2010-Cents

They don't look real to me.

Something bugs me about these... maybe the 2010 numbering is a little cartoony.

i asked him how he obtained these rolls if they are not supposed to be released until next month.

here is my question

hi may I ask how you have obtained and have in hand rolls of the 2010 cents when they are not supposed to be released until next month thanks.

here is what he said.

In US feb. 11 2010 released. the maneger of my bank call me he recebe new coins I go think is the last of the cents 2009P when I open the bags
BINGO I'm a lucky guy.

I get 200 rolls but I sale 120 in buy it now, whet the 120 in ebay end the next roll go to $15.95
Edgar

is it possible that the bank would receive the coins and then hold them until next month and he just knows somebody.

These offshore sellers aren't the brightest. He's going to raise the NEXT rolls to $15.95? Uh, when you have the first and only of anything you don't use a BIN. Also, the first coins should be higher priced to see what the market will bear.

I know they are having a ceremony next month on the 11th, but I have not seen anything OFFICIAL that this is a first release ceremony. I see no reason why they couldn't have a ceremony to mark Lincoln's birthday (a day early) and have the new cents there but still not have already released them.

What I find is interesting as of right now from his ebay posting:

106 Sold. More than 10 available.

ALL ROLLS CAME FOR THE BANK SEALED UNOPENED. ALL ROLL IS FROM A 100 ROLLS BANK BAG. YOU HAVE A 100% GUARANTEE IN ANY PROBLEM. THANKS, EDGAR.

but he told scott3270

I get 200 rolls but I sale 120 in buy it now, whet the 120 in ebay end the next roll go to $15.95.

So either he has -6 left or 14 left at the current price.

No feedback yet from anyone who has received the cents.

It's pretty obvious these are fakes. I'm just going to wait a few weeks after their official release and get them at the local bank which always gets then in for 50˘ a roll.

I'll have no choice but to wait on bank rolls as well.....but I'm never lucky enough to get "whole rolls of one year or mintmark". Mine are ALWAYS mixed....and I have to search through them to find the newly released ones.
Of course I hear about those who order a box and it's all one year.....but that's pretty rare I would think.
"My" bank can only just order general "Cents" .....they cannot request or order "the new" ones, or any specifics like that.

On the reverse, there are strange marks beneath the N in ONE and the T in CENT that don't appear on the B&W prototype image of the cent that we've seen for months. At first I only noticed the right side and assumed that I was seeing the designer's initials, but the fact that it's on both sides of the scroll and doesn't look to be part of either the scroll or the shield makes me wonder.
