Here are the times for 4 notes.
4 days from Spain to US
11 days from Portugal to US
5 days held and 9 days from Greece to US
3 days held (holiday in Spain and weekend) and 6 days from Spain to US Well, I can't say the wait was terrible, worse was 14 days, best was 4. This is the last of the notes from Europe. Today you get: Pick 112b 05.07.1918 Block number and 4 letters in two lines lower signature: Joγo da Motta Gomes Jϊnior Its really nice note with only a small fold in 1 of the corners. 50 Centavos was the lowest denomination issued by Banco do Portugal. All other fractional notes (20 centavos to 5 centavos) were issued by the mint or Casa Da Moeda (House of Coin)   |

Thanks guys! This was one note that I really wanted. I have a few ebay searches for the last few fractionals and also for the missing escudo notes. While I would like to do the whole type set, its beyond what I would consider paying. There are still a few I want and in my price range, hoping to pick up when I can find a visually appealing one. |

I decided to expand my Dutch type set with banknotes as well. I recently purchased my first notes!  I will post them when I get them later this week.  Edited by NumisEd

Congrats @numis banknotes are a slippery slope. Almost as bad as type sets of coins!

My first Dutch banknote for my "Kingdom of the Netherlands" type set (coins & notes). A 1953 10 Gulden note, featuring Hugo de Groot, a humanist and lawyer among other things, who was made famous by his audacious escape from imprisonment by hiding in a humongous bookcase. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Grotius |
