Quote: Interesting information in that link, thank you. great site packed with excellent info! Here's an early 1963 10 Kronor ( P-52a) from Sweden: (The back has a bit of a winter/Christmas motif going with the snowflakes imbedded in the design)

I still remember when my grandmother handed me three of those - about $6 at the time, a big sum for an 8 year old back then. The pattern behind the snow flakes by the way, is the artist's impression of the Northern lights.

The pattern behind the snow flakes by the way, is the artist's impression of the Northern lights. $6 $10 was a lot of cash back then & would have seemed like a small fortune to us too. I can also see the clear Northern Lights like pattern. Thanks for pointing that out.

French Indochina, 1 piastre, 1909-21. A very colonial banknote - there is little doubt which of the ladies represents France and Indochina, respectively - designed and printed in France. The smallest banknote denomination and not very large: 14 x 10.5 cm. Still, often double folded like this one, so probably kept together with coins and small change.

Great additions guys! Its been awesome to see this eye candy while I was soaking up the sun & in the Dominican Republic. Quote: I've been complaining to walk on water that my note from Portugal is lost. And Walk 2 Water was really good in giving me support . He said "To cry me a river", which didn't help at all Okay & now for some context! My point was only that I had waited 9 weeks for some of my packages (notes) that were rowed across the Atlantic... ... but I was sure hfjacinto's notes would arrive. And what a 500 Escudos beauty! Love the background photos/info sir! Here's a couple more low-hanging fruit I picked up from Allen's: Jersey P-11a: Cayman Islands P-26b:
