Nice additions owatchman. I have that Mozambique 500 note too, the artwork on the front is from a native carving showing a couple in grief.

That's a beautiful note. Queen E was certainly breathtaking in her day.... but... that portrait make her look like she had an extra vertebra added to her neck. I'm probably imagining things, and she's lovely either way.

Cheers to all for your kind comments, I have recently started looking for old UK notes. When I started collecting I focused on World notes, thinking I'd collect from every Country, but it's easier said than done  Guess it's easy to forget how nice some of our 'home' currency was/is at times.
