Kennedys are my favorite collectable coin.

Two reasons. I like the design, both obverse and reverse. Secondly, I was in college in the 1960's, admired the President, and the coins bring back many fond memories.

I have two or three sets, as well as several individual proofs in airtites.

I can't say "no" when I see one on sale.

Take it from the experience of someone who has almost completed a set of JFKs (minus, of course the 70-D and 87 P&Ds), go to MULTIPLE local banks. Here in Georgia, the best banks that we have found to visit for good coin finds are BoA (not sure if we can spell out the bank names or not), Wach0^ia, and S*n Tr^st. (If any of you are familiar with bank names in the US, it's not hard to figure out which banks we are talking about.) Anyways, banks are the best place to start considering they CAN NOT sell them to you for any higher than face value.
