Just purchased all of the silver jeffersons (42-45 pds); taking a closer look when I noticed the die crack on the 44S. It runs from the bottom rim, splits below the steps and exits above the dome thru the top rim. I have never seen that big of a crack before. Please excuse the pics, still having trouble with high luster coins.

I've actually seen this one over on the PCGS board I believe. They called it a dollar sign, since the crack runs right through the S. Probably a premium on that one.

Nice pick!

A closer look shows that five of the 14 silver jeffersons that I bought have die cracks. Non as significant as the 44S. I would appreciate any additional information about the 44S if anyone has any. I have found little reference to it online. Thanks!

DylansDad-found the reference you gave me. I have searched elsewhere and have not found anything else; pretty cool though. Thanks
