Nice! I went to two different banks today looking for kennedy rolls, and both had none. Wonder why they even bother to mint them anymore if no one uses them and most banks dont even carry them.

I really don't see the purpose for $2 bills and havles and dollar coins. They're just not used. The mint could save a bundle not producing these.

I think there is a law in which they must.

I agree, and disagree. I personally think they should stop production of pennies, $1 bills, and $2 bills, and issue $2 coins, and see what happens!

Yes, as far as looking for errors, you WILL eventually find MANY Bicentennials that have Machine Doubling and some that have TRUE doubling on the reverse in the words "HALF DOLLAR". Good Luck and always have fun!!!

JFK's are my favorite to collect.
My bank usually has several rolls they let me have each time I ask.
I have put together several sets, mainly from circulation. There are a few dates which weren't minted for circulation, plus recent years, however you can find most in circulation, or at least in banks.
I think they are great coins. The last time I picked up a roll at the bank, I found a 1964 and several others which were part silver. Also, in one roll alone I found eight Bicentennial coins.

Actually, the US Mint would lose money, not save, if they stopped producing dollars and half dollars. It is due to a little thing called seignorage that allows the Mint to turn a profit of ~$700 million a year[:0]
