I've been reading up on Hobo Nickels and have found some information on how to authenticate originals from recent carvings. But I've found nothing on price/value.

Assuming that I am sure a hobo nickel is an authentic depression-era carving, what is it worth? How much would I expect to have to pay for it? Anybody collect Hobo Nickels?

Values for genuine vintage examples can be hard to determine but some can be attributed to a specific artist and of course attribution can add to the value. The artistry and uniqueness of a piece can heavily influence value. I have seen vintage examples sell for $100 on up. Here is one from an upcoming St Louis auction-
