Is there any specific area of the forum where people talk silver, or is it just whatever wherever?

Thanks,
Jim

Basically "whatever" "wherever"......but of course in relationship to what type of "silver" you're inquiring about.
"Modern Coins" areas of discussion covers quite a bit ! (Kennedy halves, silver Washingtons, silver Rosies, etc. etc.)

"Classic Coins".....then obviously Morgans, Seated material, etc. etc.

Just general "silver" discussions could fit into the "Main Coin" forum areas too.

Kind of depends. Silver coins? Silver statues? Silver medals? Silver bullion? Silver anchors on a Pirate ship? Or just Silver like in Silver?

Sorry, I guess I was a little vague. I am new to the whole idea of collecting coins or bullion. I was going more along the lines of silver eagles, leafs, koalas, etc. 1 oz coins. Possibly even bars or the 1 kilo coins, but I figured that you guys wouldn't talk a lot about bars and such.

People on the forum usually are a little more specific when asking questions. If your interested in Silver coins of a certain type, just mention the type. Remember as with Gold, Silver, other metals, there are many varieties of each. And too, old ones, modern ones, or what? Your in the right place to ask questions alright but try to ask more exacting ones.
Not to make fun fut asking about Silver is like asking about cars. There are lots of them.

Yeah, sorry about that. I am just dipping my toe into this world so I am going to show some growing pains. I learn something new here every day.

Yes, sorry, but we don't have a general "bullion forum"; you'd be best to ask your questions or start discussion in the forum that's most relevant to the question. If you want to talk about foreign bullion coins, the World Coins section is probably best. If you want to talk about bars and rounds, try the Tokens and Exonumia section. If a topic "belongs" in more than one section or you want to talk generally about silver coins (eg. comparing ASEs to foreign bullion coins and private rounds, or debating the merits of returning to a silver standard) try right here in the "main forum".

If you want to talk about the effect of government monetary policy on the bullion price, or other silver-related stuff that doesn't really have anything to do with actual coins, we do have a General Discussion section for such non-numismatic topics; you can apply to join it once you hit 50 posts.

Nooooo... no political talk for me, lol.

Thanks for the answers. I figured that talking about Koalas in the Australia area etc etc would be the way to go, but I wanted to make sure that there was not a specific place where silver bullion coins were all talked about. I am sure there are areas of the board that I have not really seen yet. I just want to make sure that I put my apples into the apple bin and my oranges into the orange bin.
