Good point there Jason ! ...

I live in Kansas.....and only a very rare few find their way here.....it happens.....but not in a large enough scale to mean much.
I guess anything I see that isn't something I see everyday gets me excited.....the "value" isn't important at the present time. And as Jb said.....It would be a good "starter pool" to begin filling holes someday in the future.

Careful Eaglefoot....

I once saved my Canadian coins too. Never really had a reason but just couldn't part with them. Fast forward a few years and I am the owner of more complete Canadian sets than I am American sets! Mostly from pocket change I've managed to finish off Elizabeth Cents and Nickels. Dimes I still need some silvers and Quarters still have some work. Loonies/Toonies done as well!

The sets are just too fun to pass up

I have yet to find one, but have only just recently started searching dimes. It would be pretty nice though...

I have found 4 silver dimes in the last yr, and I am about 7hrs away from the boarder.

I also have found a tone of cents (20 rolls) over the same time period. I only keep the pre 82 for the copper content (higher copper weight than the US copper cent)I don't keep 82 and later because they are less weight than US copper cents

This got me thinking. I could check to see if my bank has a branch in Sault Ste. Marie, MI near the Canadian border. I could get a few boxes of pennies there if they do. Bet i'll find all sorts of goodies in there.

Unfortunately my bank doesn't have any branch locations in Sault Ste Marie.

I've found about 10 Silver Canadian Dimes roll hunting. I've also found 3 Canadian silver quarters at work and in change ( I don't roll-hunt quarters).

I mean....I'm fairly excited if it's "old"......like anything pre-1960 or whatever, but, I've found that something in my brain forces me to save "ALL" dates from Canada. Even if it's a 2002, a 1987, etc., etc., ANY dates !....and I don't know why I keep doing this.

I'm the same way. I've even questioned it, like you, a few times, but I just keep right on doing it. I think it's because I just started that way, and I just can't change...
