Egypt, "Ottoman" period, 5/10 qirsh, accession year 1293, KM# 291. The regnal year that gives the exact date is suppoesed to be below the toughra on the (extremely worn) obverse; possible options are 10 (1884) through to 33 (1907).I'd be lying if I told you I was sure which way was up on the obverse of your coin, though. The reverse (top pic) is sideways.

This was an easy one for me, because one of these coins was the first "mystery coin" I ever bought. I remember fishing this old, foreign-looking thing out of a dealer's scratchtray as a YN (and it was in about the same condition as this one), and getting all excited when I got home and looked it up in my Yeoman catalogue and found out how old it was; it was the oldest coin I owned at the time, and only my second coin from the 1800's.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
