Just found this afternoon roll searching.

Nice golden color 1998P LMC Brass Plated Strike.

I have a few 1983's, but this is my first from 1998.

Great find! That is legit IMO. You have to be careful with that circulated "apparent" brass plated finds. I've seen many that just looked to brass from exposure to something.

Thank you for posting this coin. I have kept a number of 1983 "honey colored" cents because I like to keep coins with interesting toning. I had no idea that they were brass plated, much less that this even existed. I seem to learn something new every time I get on this site.
